A loan of $950 helped to purchase animal feed and fertilizer.

Mirta's story

Mirta is a 47-year-old single woman with no children. She owns a home, which is located in a small rural hamlet called "CP-2 Colera" in the Tambogrande district, about 4 hours north of the city of Chiclayo.

Mirta sells small animals for a living. She raises them since they are very young, fattens them up, and sells them to vendors at the market. She also works in agriculture, and every time she harvests her crops (lemons and mangos), she sells them to vendors at the markets surrounding her hamlet. She has been working in these two fields, her sources of income, for the past 15 years.

Currently, in order to boost profits, thus helping her animals grow quicker and helping her fertilize her crops, she is requesting a 2,500.00 PEN loan from Edpyme Alternativa to purchase animal feed and fertilizer.
