Tannaf 02 Group's story

The group "Tanaff 02" was created on December 13, 2003 at the inauguration of their banc villageois. The group comprises nine women from the same district who are very active in commerce. Ms. Sandji (seated at the far right) is the group's official. She is 49 years old and married, and she takes care of two of her own children and four others from close relatives. She is a retailer of ice cream in her district. This is a business she has been in for over five years. Her new loan will enable her to acquire a stock of 'monkey bread' (the fruit of the baobab tree) and some sugar to make ice creams. Using the profits she obtains from her business, she intends to support her husband in meeting the needs of the family.
