Bushenyi, Uganda / Farming

A loan of $525 helped to purchase high grade manure for his tea farms and banana plantation.

Amos's story

As the picture shows, 73-year-old Amos runs a tea farming business. He comes across as an amiable, good-humored, and high-spirited gentleman. At his age, many would reckon the father of eight should be thinking of retirement, but Amos is not having any of it. He says he will remain unwavering and unfazed in his purposefulness.

Tea farming is a business he has a penchant for, and he says it's been worthwhile in every sense of the word. He also ekes out a supplementary income from banana farming.

Amos plans on using his loan to purchase high grade manure for his tea farms and banana plantation. He is upbeat, and he envisions better sales returns after the acquisition of this loan.
