A loan of $1,125 helped to buy sacks of coffee and cacao beans.

Rosita's story

Rosita is 37, and is a hard-working woman. She is the mother of three beloved children to whom she is very devoted. Rosita buys and sells harvested cacao and coffee. Normally she manages to buy these from local farmers. She buys them at a price that enables the farmers to make money, and it is an advantage that they don't have to go to the very distant collection centers, because Rosita is the one who takes them, and they pay her very well for that work. She has been working at this for five years, and her need to work is very straightforward; it is the only support she can offer her children. In time she wishes to have her own collection center for the farmer who are her partners. Her highest priority now is to continue buying more sacks of harvested beans, and this way earn a good return, and provide a better quality of life for her children. This will be her first loan with MFP, so she is hoping for a small loan so that she can fulfill her objectives. Moreover, she promises to be very punctual in making her installment payments. With the loan applied for, she will buy sacks of coffee and cacao beans, and that way take them to the collection centers.
