A loan of $950 helped to buy catalog beauty products and a display case for them.

Maria Sergia's story

Maria is 50 years old and lives together with her husband and her children who are adults and financially independent. They live in their own home which is located in the small, rural village of San Martín, in Tambogrande district, in Piura province. This is a small village and the only basic service it currently receives is electricity.

Maria has always worked in agriculture. She and her husband own a plot of farmland where they grow lemons. They harvest their fruit every week and sell it in neighboring villages. However, owing to her desire to continue growing financially, Maria has also started a business selling beauty products through catalogs. This allows her to travel from village to village offering her different products for sale.

Maria would like to increase her working capital and invest in buying a display case so that she can display her products because her customers visit her at home to make their purchases and she doesn't have anywhere to display her products. She is requesting a loan for 2,500 soles from Edpyme Alternativa.

Maria is an existing client of our institution and she is known for her high level of responsibility.
