Delfin Oswaldo's story

Delfin Oswaldo is 50 years old, married, and lives with his wife and children. He has three children who are 24, 20 and 16 years old. They live in Montalvo, in Los Ríos province.

This community bank is called PITA and it is located in San Pablo de Pita, in Caluma canton, 45 minutes from Montalvo. The members of this bank work in agriculture, growing oranges, bananas, 'orito' (a variety of small, sweet banana), cacao and coffee.

Delfin cares for his cacao, oranges, bananas and coffee as these are long-cycle crops. He makes his purchases in San Rafael shopping center in Caluma and makes his sales in Montalvo.

Delfin is requesting a loan to buy supplies such as fertilizers, urea and fungicides to get rid of weeds. He will also buy Ranger for dealing with diseases among his crops. This loan will help him to increase the quality of his produce and avoid losing crops. Delfin's dream is to buy a car so that he can go to the beach with his family.

In his spare time, Delfin enjoys taking part in sports and going out for walks with his family.
