A loan of $325 helped to buy bedspreads.

Jairo's story

Jairo is from La Cuesta County on the outskirts of the town of Boaco. He is 33, married and has two children, one in elementary and the other in high school. He has been a merchant for eight years, working as a clothing street vendor. He also has a grocery store and sells essential goods such as rice, beans, and hygiene products. And, he grows corn and wheat which he sells in the area. He started his business with his own savings and help from his wife.

He is hoping to expand both his grocery store and clothing business. He is requesting the loan to buy bedspreads which he says are in high demand and this will increase his earnings. His future goals involve saving enough money to buy a patch of land, and preparing the land he now has to plant corn and beans, since this is an important source of income for his family.
