A loan of $2,950 helped a member to purchase stationery items for selling.

Grupo Rio Viejo Group's story

This communal bank is named "Rio Viejo" ("Old River"). It is comprised of six cheerful, hardworking people with the drive to improve themselves.
One of the group members is young Frumencio, who's 23 years old. He reports that he sells stationery items such as letter- and office-sized paper sheets, letter-sized folders, pencils, automatic pencils, tissue paper, colored paper, notebooks, booklets and books, and provides photocopy services.
He also reports that one of his dreams for this loan would be to expand his business, because he has always enjoyed managing his finances and getting good profits as a result from his efforts and hard work.
What he likes most about his business is providing good service to his customers and meeting their orders for stationery items in a timely fashion.
He requested the loan in order to purchase more stationery products such as booklets, notebooks, letter- and office-sized paper sheets, books and pencils.
The other group members are Fernando, who sells fruits and vegetables; Araceli Gudelia, who sells fruits and vegetables; Claudia, who sells fish; Pablita, who sells fruits and vegetables; and Bertha, who sells groceries.
They give thanks to Fundación for the support they have been given in order to get ahead and to improve living conditions for themselves and for their families.

In this group: Fernando Anastacio, Araceli Gudelia, Claudia, Pablita, Bertha, Frumencio
