A loan of $375 helped to buy supplies for preparing summer food.

Margarita Antolina's story

Sra. Margarita is a 38-year-old woman who works daily and is pleased about her duties as a mother. She has two children, a 14-year-old and a 19-year-old. Margarita would have liked to become a lawyer, but due to a few difficulties she was not able to fulfill this great dream.

She knew that nothing could stop her, much less having two children, so she decided to work 10 hours a day. Over time she was able to prepare herself and devote her time to selling stuffed potatoes, "patasca" (tripe soup), "chanfainita" (oxtail stew), and other entree dishes. She believes she has done very well in her business because she always provides her customers with very good service.

With the help of Kiva lenders, Margarita will be able to buy a few necessary supplies for preparing her dishes for the summer season. With great effort and dedication, she has accomplished her goals, such as attracting customers who live in the surrounding areas. Later on, she wants to fulfill her latest dream of opening a small shop in the central part of the city of Ica.
