Antoine is a 53-year-old Lebanese married man living with his wife and two children, one of whom is working and the other is still attending school. Like every couple, Antoine and his wife wish to offer a respectable life to their children. For this reason, they combine forces to be able to cover the heavy life expenses.
Antoine opened his own butchery in 1980. He’s a reputable person and always searches to deliver good and fresh products. Today, he’s wishing to borrow a loan from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l. to buy the needed quantity of meat for his butchery. In that way, he will be capable of developing his business and augmenting his sales. In the future, he plans to raise cattle and expand his business.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
