Sokha, 41, is married and resides with her husband and three children in Kampong Chnang Province, Cambodia. She has been selling fish and shells for over six years, earning approximately 5 USD per day. Her husband is a fisherman who earns about 5 USD per day.
Due to the difficulty in the family’s transportation, Slkha is requesting a loan of 1,000 USD to purchase a motorbike to commute. This purchase would enable her to carry her fish to sell in larger amounts and use the money saved on her transportation expense to support the family. In the future, she would like to run a sewing shop for her daughter and build a concrete house.
