A loan of $600 helped purchasing of the seeds and fertilizer for growing the onion.

Yahe's story

Yahe is 56 years old. He and his wife have raised six children. Yahe is a doctor at the City Central Hospital. Yahe was raised in a rural area. Though he had graduated from the Medical Institute and worked as a doctor for more than 20 years, Yahe never forgot how to work the land. Ten years ago he decided to find an additional source of income in order to better support his large family and to arrange the weddings and dowry for all of his children. Thus he started growing onions.

Yahe believes that the onion business is quite profitable and generates considerable additional income for his family. He now requests a loan of 2,000.00 Somoni (US$600.00) for 12 months to purchase seeds and fertilizer. Yahe has received one previous loan and managed it with accuracy. He promises to repay the new loan on a timely basis and thanks everyone for their support.
