A loan of $875 helped to buy rice, vegetables, canned goods, and drinks.

Maira Magdalena's story

Maira is a thirty-one-year-old woman with high aspirations to make her store prosper over the next few years. She started out to help the family financially, and chose to have a store because there weren't any in her area. She works by herself, buys what she needs at the market, and suppliers drop the merchandise off. Mud is a problem in winter.

Maira is married to a driver and has four children in public school. She says her greatest dreams are for the store to succeed, to have more merchandise, and to fix up her home. She wants a loan to buy rice, vegetables, canned goods, and drinks for the store.
