A loan of $1,125 helped to buy balanced feed to increase his inventory.

Jose Elmer's story

José is 22, single and has no children. He currently lives with his grandparents in a small rural community where some 60 families live. The name of the community is "Muy Finca Punto 9" and it belongs to the district of Lambayeque about 20 minutes north of the city of Chiclayo.

José dedicates his time exclusively to selling balanced feed (rice and rice bran), and learned his trade at his previous job. Now his works independently and has generated his own customer base who he visits daily to meet their demands. He has become very well-known because of his ability to obtain products. He uses his own motorcycle to distribute the orders.

He is requesting a loan through Edpyme Alternativa in the amount of 3,000 PEN to invest in his business and buy discarded rice to increase the variety of products he sells. This will enable him to increase his earnings and be able to make payment on the loan as well as cover other debts.
