A loan of $375 helped to buy sheep and building material.

Clementina's story

Clementina, aged 48, is the mother of one son and lives with her husband in their own house in La Colorado, a rural hamlet about 15 minutes from the district of Morrope, which itself is located about one hour from the city of Chiclayo.

Clementina breads, fattens and sells animals, such as sheep, cattle and poultry. She uses the backyard of their house for her business, which she has developed over several years and which has been the livelihood of the family. Her customers know her as a person with a high sense of responsibility in her business dealings and always turn to her whenever they need her products. Clementina's husband supplements their weekly income as a laborer working in the various farms of the village.

The couple is committed to improving their living conditions. Therefore Clementina came to the microfinance institution Edpyme Alternativa and applied for a loan of 1000 new soles to buy sheep and building material to improve her pens.
