Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

Nana's story

Nana is a forty eight year old woman. She is married to a driver. She has a twenty year old child. Nana has been working as a market trader since 1990. She sells glasses and needles to all her customers in the market. She buys the items in Lomé. She works alone. Currently, her main problem is running out of stock. Nana is seeking her first loan with WAGES in order to purchase glasses, needles and plastic bags.
She wants to reinvest in her business. In the years to come, Nana would like to grow the scale of her business. She states that with the profits, she intends to assure the wellbeing of the family.
