Saturnino's story

Saturnino is a 53 year old single man with no children. He lives alone in his own house in San Juan Centro Autiki in the Pichanaki district, Chanchamayo province.
Saturnino came to San Juan 17 years ago. He is from Andahuaylas (mountains at the south of Perú). His siblings had land here. For this reason, he left his home. Now he has his own land where he grows coffee and citrus fruits like oranges and lemons. When he arranges his time, he works as a laborer on other plots of land. Saturnino is a persevering and hard-working man for nature. His hectic life prevented him from finding a woman to be a companion and mother of his children. In spite of this, he is happy with his situation.
He also works for a public institution as manager for potable water installation and maintenance. With this work, he earns a secure monthly income.
Saturnino feels free working on his crops. For this reason, he will continue to invest in this work. This will be his eighth loan with MFP. He promises to make his payments on time. In addition, he gets satisfaction from belonging to the “Flor de San Juan” communal bank because the members are responsible like him. With the loan money, he will pay for the renting of the land he farms. He will also buy baskets and machetes for the harvest. He will pay the laborers who do this work.
