Kheng is 46 and married with three children. She lives with her husband in Kampong Cham Province, Cambodia. For the past seven years, she has been selling food and soft drinks and earns approximately 5 USD per day. Kheng's husband works growing maize and potato and he earns about 4 USD daily. All of Kheng's children are employed in a garment factory, earning about 12 USD each day.
Kheng is requesting a 1,000 USD loan to purchase farmland to grow crops and generate more income to support her family. In the future, she would like to rebuild her present house to make it much stronger and to provide better living conditions for her family.
