A loan helped to buy second-hand clothes.

Madine's story

Madame Madine is 45 years old, married, and mother of seven children. She lives in a nuclear family in the Darsalam area.
Having abandoned school in the seventh fundamental year (Malian education system) to get married by her own will, she therefore started to engage in revenue generated activities to help her husband in the management of the family expenses.
She stocks up here in Segou and in Bamako. Her profits will be used to reimburse her financial commitments and to take care of herself and to participate in social events.
In an effort to meet the demands of her customers and to make more profits, she is asking for this new loan.
She has had a relationship with Soro Yiriwaso for 72 months, and has has four group loans and four individual loans, all correctly repaid. She is on her fifth individual loan, which she counts on using to buy four bales of used clothes.
Madame Madine sells for cash and credit to a mixed clientele.
With this loan she envisages making a monthly profit of 150,000 francs CFA.
Her ambition is to build a house.
