A loan of $1,025 helped to buy groundnuts.

Kadidiatou's story

Kadidiatou is 38 years old, married, and the mother of 3 children. She lives in a traditional family in the Sécoura Bamanan neighborhood in Ségou. By training, she is a custom transit agent. She started to get involved in income-generating activities with her mother who used to sell various items. After several years of apprenticeship by her side, she chose to work independently about 10 years ago, and now also sells various items such as grains, clothes etc.

She is requesting this new loan in order to increase her business and to make more profits. She has been working with Soro Yiriwaso for 48 months and has already duly repaid 4 individual loans. This is her fifth individual loan, which she will use to buy one ton of groundnuts. She buys her merchandise from local producers and resells it for cash or on credit to a diverse group of customers.

With this loan, she is expecting monthly profits to reach 150,000 CFA francs. This profit will allow her to repay her loan and to get involved in other income-generating activities.
