A loan of $3,125 helped a member to restock the missing items in his food store.


Mikocheni Group's story

Damasi, who is in his early thirty's, is married with two children who go to school. He has been a food vendor since 2002. He works from 6.00 am to 12.00 pm daily and is able to make a fair monthly profit.

This will be his third loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. He used the previous loans to buy the missing items in his food store, took care of his family and has paid back his loans successfully. He wants a loan to buy the still-missing items. His dream is to one day be able to build his own house.

He will share this loan with his loan group "Mikocheni" which has a total of 15 members who will hold each other accountable for paying back their loans.
