Pheang, 32, is married and resides with her husband and three children in Prey Veng Province, Cambodia. She has been growing rice for over three years, earning approximately $7 per day. Her husband is employed in the Cambodian Art Institution and earns approximately $4 per day.
Due to the difficulty in the family’s transportation, Pheang is requesting a loan of $1,200 to purchase a motorbike for commuting. This purchase would enable her to use the money saved on her transportation expenses to support the family. In the future, she would like to rent a store in the market for selling fruit, and help her children get bachelor's degrees.
