A loan of $3,875 helped a member to buy vegetables.

Flor Naciente Group's story

The lending club "Flor Naciente" will begin their 10th cycle with Pro Mujer, as part of the Centro Senkata. The group is made up of 9 members and is directed by a board whose head is Albina. The members' businesses are varied and include: selling potatoes and chuño [freeze-dried potatoes], selling sweaters, selling CDs, selling knit goods, and a telephone service.

Albina says she has worked with Pro Mujer for 5 years, after joining at the invitation of a promoter. Currently she has a business selling food, which she started some years ago.

The loan that she will take out is to increase her capital by buying vegetables at the markets in El Alto and later she will prepare them and sell them at her stall. This work has allowed her to generate income to support her family as much as possible.

In this group: Albina , Verónica Celia , Carol Pamela , Maria Pilar , Zulma , Irma Sonia , Delfina, Edith Candy, Jacoba
