A loan of $300 helped buy products for preparing meals to sell: chicken, condiments, cooking oil, and pork cracklings.

Elsy Marilu's story

Elsy sells “pupusas” (a popular Salvadoran dish), tortilla snacks, and bread stuffed with chicken. She lives with her husband and 6-year-old son. Elsy has had the business for 2 years. She works every day from 7:00 am until 7:00 pm. Her sales of food products allow her to keep at it all day, providing attentive service to her customers.

Elsy is requesting a loan to buy products such as chicken, condiments, cooking oil, and pork cracklings, among other supplies for her business. This purchase will help her to maintain what's necessary in stock and offer better service to her customers.

Elsy's aspiration is to help her son continue his studies. That's why she works selling her meals each day.
