A loan of $650 helped to buy meat, vegetables and fruit for her food business.

Maria Del Carmen's story

María is a 26-year-old woman who has a great desire to boost her food business over the next few years.

María started her business three years ago, selling sausage in the market on weekends. The business is doing very well. She works alone from 7.30am until she runs out. Her difficulties are when her children become sick. María is not married. She lives with her common-law husband who is a dispatcher for the Guayas co-op. She has two daughters. María's biggest dream is to increase her sales and own her own home. She would like a loan to buy meat, vegetables and fruit for her food business.
