Sarath, 47, is widowed and resides with one school age child in Kampong Chhnang Province, Cambodia. She has been selling embroidered clothing for over five years, earning approximately USD 10 per day. Due to her eagerness to improve the family’s economic situation, Sarath is requesting for a loan of USD 700 to run an additional business by purchasing fruits for resale at a profitable price to generate extra income for the family. In the future, she would like to expand her business and help her child get a bachelor degree. Moreover, she hopes to rebuild her present house to make it much stronger and to provide better living conditions for the family.
