A loan of $750 helped to buy cacao plants.

Leonora's story

Leonora is 35 years old and lives in her own home with her husband, Filomeno, who is 36 years old, and her two cherished children, to whom she wants to provide a better quality of life. She is a very simple woman who makes a living working the land so that she can plant cacoa plants. She has been making a living in this way for the past 16 years. During times of harvest she has help from her neighbors to be able to finish quickly so that she can dry the beans and later take them to warehouses to sell. The thing she likes most about her work is when she is able to sell her product for a good price, when she has a good harvest. The thing she considers most difficult about her work is transporting her bags of beans from her ranch to the warehouses. In the future she would like to increase her production. This is her 10th loan with MFP, she is in agreement to continue making her payments on time. In her communal bank she is a very supportive member. With the 2,000 Nuevos Soles she will buy cacao plants to increase her production.
