A loan of $875 helped to buy fertilizers and agricultural supplies.

Ana Luisa's story

Ana lives in the municipality of Masaya with her family. Her intention is to improve her family's standard of living. She is grateful to Kiva for the support it offers her every year for her yuca crop.

The greatest difficulty that has arisen was an accident one of her children suffered, as she had to draw on her resources to pay for his healing. Her plan for her plantation is to sow a quarter of it in pineapple, and in this way improve her income.

She wants the loan to to buy fertilizers and agricultural supplies for her yuca plantation. She is also going to buy yuca plants for sowing more than a manzana (1.73 acres), as it will be ready to produce within a year, and it needs to be well-fertilized at planting time.
