A loan of $1,125 helped to purchase materials to improve washing cars and to purchase a mototaxi.

Noe's story

Noe is 58 years old. He is a determined and hardworking man who is also happy and friendly. He is married to Rosa, who is a teacher. Their children are Grely, 30 years old, Saulo, 28, who is disabled, and Juan, who is 21 years old. They live together in their own house along with his nephew Omar, who is also disabled.

Noe works selling water and washing cars. He has a space set up in his house where he attends to his customers, giving them fast service. He is closed for a week because the town is making repairs to the street. He started his business more than nine years ago with a bank loan. His children help him service the customers. He considers his business to be profitable because of the income he earns and the continued visits of his customers. He decided to start his business so that he had a job since he was not successful at finding work, and he saw the opportunity based on the location of his house.

Now he feels more comfortable economically and has plans to expand his business, for example opening a bookstore in his house since it is located close to a high school. This is his third loan with MFP and he hopes their collaboration will continue so he can meet his objectives. With a loan of 3000 nuevos soles, he will purchase a used mototaxi for 2300 nuevos soles so that he can rent it out. With the rest of the loan, he will make repairs to his car wash to offer better service to his customers.
