A loan of $800 helped a member to buy cosmetics and necklaces.

Akouemevo Group's story

The group AKOUEMEVO is comprised of three persons who reside in the same district. The group’s representative, Mireille, is the one in the photo with her hand raised. She is 40 years old and married to a furniture maker by the name of Gauthier. They have three children, all in school and in their care. Mireille lives together with her husband and children. She and her husband jointly ensure that the diverse family expenses are covered.

Mireille did not attend school. For eight years, she has been running a business selling necklaces and cosmetics door to door. She gets her supplies from a market in Benin.

Seeking to satisfy her customers and to increase her sales and her revenues, Mireille and the other members of the group AKOUEMEVO are requesting a seventh loan from ALIDé. The loans previously received have indeed been repaid.
