Dara's story

When one visits Dara, one visits a truly sweet spot in Iraq. The smell of vanilla, baked honey, caramel, cream, and fresh pastry are all signs of being in the Middle East, and being in for a great treat.

Dara is married and has two children who are learning, from the example their father sets, the meaning of hard work behind the sweets joys of life.

Dara has been running his sweets shop for four years. He took a loan from Relief International Microfinance Iraq in the amount of 3,000 USD to purchase a new mixer and ingredients to expand his selection.
