Levan's story

Levan is 56 years old. He lives in village Chikaani, East Georgia with his wife Almat. Levan is a tinsmith. He has a small workshop, where he produces ovens. Ovens are sold in the villages of his district. Along with his main job, Levan is also involved in family agriculture. They have a small bee-keeping farm. Levan harvests honey twice each year and sells it in the local market. Also the family owns agricultural land, where maize and vine-trees are grown. Almat sells harvested products in the local market as well. Total average monthly income of the family is 1000 GEL.

Levan requested credit to cultivate the land with a tractor and to purchase melon seeds. After properly performing seasonal activities, the family hopes that they will receive a good harvest, which will be sold in the local market for a good price. The family will get additional income. They will be able to increase spending on their daily needs and improve their living conditions.
