MEDEDJIGBE Group is made up of three persons, who live in the same neighborhood. The group's representative, Anasthasie, is the one raising her hand in the photograph. Anasthasie, age 45, is married to one Evariste, and they have three children, who all attend school and whom they have to support. Anasthasie lives together with her husband and children. The couple ensures together that the various household expenses are covered. Anasthasie dropped out of elementary school. In order to cover her various expenses, she's been selling food products (rice, canned food) and liquors in her neighborhood for about ten years. She gets her supplies in Togo and Benin. In order to bolster her business, Anasthasie, together with the other members of the group, is seeking a third loan from Kiva's partner, ALIDé, in order to increase her revenue. Her previous two loans were repaid without problems.
