A loan of $375 helped to buy feed.

Magdalena's story

Twenty-three-year-old Magdalena is married with one young, school-age child. She lives in her own home with her husband in a rural village in the district of Lambayeque called Virgen de la Purísima Concepción. Her village is one of the few that have basic utilities such as water and electricity. It is small and has around 50 families.

For a living, Magdalena takes care of her animals every day (sheep, pigs, goats, and fowl). When they reach their ideal size and weight, she sells them in different markets in the district of Lambayeque. This is how she has generated the income to support her family for five years and she wants to expand her business because there is a good amount of demand to satisfy.

In her desire to keep achieving her goals, Magdalena is asking for a loan from Edpyme Alternativa for the sum of 1,000 nuevos soles. She will use this money to buy feed so her animals will fatten better and grow faster, which will allow her to achieve her goal of giving her family a better quality of life.
