A loan of $1,200 helped a member to buy soft drinks, mineral water and beer.

Camino Al Exito Group's story

The new communal bank “Camino al Exito” (Road to Success) is made up of 7 entrepreneurial women who each day want to get ahead, and María is one of the members. She is separated, has 2 adult daughters, and currently sells drinks such as beer, mineral water and soft drinks. This business was born from the idea of having her own business because she knew that in this way, she would get more income. Her other work is raising livestock (guinea pigs, chickens, ducks). María is proud that thanks to her effort and perseverance she has been able to educate her daughters and she is also now helping her granddaughter with schooling. At 67 María is confident that she feels comfortable with her efforts in continuing with her work. She will use the requested loan to buy soft drinks, mineral water and beer and so have product to offer her customers. The communal group “Camino al Exito” appreciates the financing offered them.
