A loan of $575 helped make repairs to his taxi.

Vladimir's story

Vladimir works hard every day to get ahead and works in public transportation. His wife also supports the household by selling cheese. Both lines of work help them generate enough income to support their 2 children, 1 and 4, who need their care.

Vladimir works about 10 hours on average and attends to about 50 clients in that time. That’s because the city of Ica has transformed into one of the areas with the highest economic activity at a national level. And not just because of the mass volume transported out of the country, but because national and international investors have invested in department stores in the city and more people need transportation to get to those places, including the employees who need to arrive to work on time.

With the help of Kiva lenders, Vladimir will be able to repair his vehicle, which in turn will improve his income and at some point he’ll be able to buy his own taxi fleet.
