Thorn, 41, is married, resides with her husband, and has six children. She lives in Siem Reap Province in Cambodia, an area which is well known for its historical tourism sites (such as the ancient temples at Angkor Wat, Bayon, and Banteay Srey). She is a homemaker, and her husband is a motor taxi driver who approximately earns USD 8 per day. Her son is also a motor taxi driver, and earns approximately USD 5 per day. In order to improve her family’s livelihood, Thorn is requesting a loan of USD 1,000 to purchase a Tuk Tuk trailer for her husband, who wants to run a transportation service for tourists who come to visit Siem Reap. In the future, she would like to rebuild her house and support her children in their pursuit of higher education.
