Nelly Rosario's story

Nelly is a very enterprising and humble woman. She lives in the city of Camama, which is known for its hot climate, for its beautiful beaches, for being one of the cities with the highest production of rice, and for the generosity of its people. She has two children with her husband who are 10 and 7 years old. Her husband works as a laborer and also as a farmer. In her free time, Nelly likes to watch movies, especially comedies because they help her relax and forget about her everyday worries. Like all good Peruvians, she loves Peruvian food, and one of her favorite dishes is the delicious chupe de camarones.

Nelly works at her business selling shoes. She spends about 10 hours a day at her business and she can serve up to 15 customers daily. She is very charismatic and above all attentive with her customers, which is why she thinks her business is going well. She also puts a lot of effort into getting ahead every day so that her children can have a good quality of life, as they are her reason for living.

Nelly is very thankful to Kiva's lenders, as it is because of their help that she will be able to buy more merchandise, especially shoes for the school year. This will allow her to have a wider variety of products and thus increase her earnings. She will keep struggling and applying herself to grow every day and be able to achieve her greatest dream: to see her children become professionals.
