A loan of $750 helped to buy merchandise (groceries).

Rosa Milagros's story

Rosa is a very hardworking woman. She is the mother of two children who are 16 and 1 year old, whom she loves very much and who are her motivation to get ahead despite the obstacles that may get in her way. Rosa lives in the city of Nazca, which is known for its hot climate, the generosity of its people, and its main industry, which is agriculture. In her free time she likes to chat with her friends. Like a good Peruvian, she loves typical Peruvian food, and one of her favorite dishes is the delicious escabeche. Rosa only studied up until the fifth grade, but she would have liked to have trained to be a secretary. After much effort, she was able to start her business selling groceries. She currently works in this business, serving up to 20 customers per day. She believes that her business is going well because she is very dedicated and above all because she puts a lot of effort into her work. Rosa is very thankful to Kiva's lenders as it is because of their help that she will be able to buy more merchandise for her business. This will allow her to have a wider variety of products to offer to her customers and thus keep working toward achieving her greatest dream: to build a home and to give her children a good education.
