Bombonas Group's story

The group "Bombonas" (Bonbons) consists of six enterprising women. They chose this name for themselves because they all have in common personalities that are as sweet as a bonbon. The group conducts their meetings every week in the southeast section of the city of Monterrey.

Alexi is one of the members of the group. She is married and has three children (ages 9, 7, and 2), two of whom are elementary school students. Alexi sells cleaning products made from formulas that she and her partner created. She started this business because she wanted to help her husband when he became unemployed as a result of the financial crisis. Her husband has started working for a cleaning products company, so Alexi is able to to acquire chemicals at low cost. Once she saw this opportunity, Alexi began selling to her neighbors and has slowly earned more income to sustain her family. She wants to grow her business, sell more, and move forward with building a larger house so that she can set up a store and provide a better life for her family.

In this group: Alejandra, Alexi, Alma Nely, Claudia, Erika Janet, Norma Janeth
