San Roque Group's story

San Roque is a communal banking group formed in the city of Carapeguá, which is in its fourth cycle with 10 participants, all very hardworking and entrepreneurial women who dedicate themselves to various activities of all kinds.

Maria is a knitter, and even at 65 years old is still dedicated to this activity. She wishes to invest in her activity so that she can grow her business. She has worked all her life and would like to continue to be able to feel useful and to continue providing for her home which is why she is always working so hard.

She is asking for help from Kiva and Fundación Paraguaya to buy needles and thread to be able to continue working. Maria is very grateful for the opportunity that she has received, especially as many times people do not want to help older people.
