Kuña Renda 1 Group is comprised of twenty-two women from the city of Caaguazú who work together to be able to help one another. They are hard-working, enterprising women who do not give up easily. They work hard every day to improve their families’ quality of lives. Currently they are in their fifth loan cycle, and would like to be able to reach the program’s highest level. Ilda has been selling clothes for quite a while, which has enabled her to develop a significant customer base. She says that she always has many orders from her customers, especially since she has good quality garments that are not very expensive. This work has helped her to be able to achieve her potential as a merchant, and it has also helped her to provide for her family.
She is turning to the Foundation and to Kiva to request this loan since she has orders and would like to be able to fill them for her customers. She would like to purchase T-shirts, pants, dress shirts, and other items.

Kuña Renda 1 es el grupo formado por 22 mujeres de la ciudad de Caaguazú, que trabajan juntas para poder ayudarse las unas a las otras por medio de ese trabajo. Son mujeres trabajadoras, luchadoras y muy emprendedoras, que luchan día a día para mejorar la calidad de vida de sus familias. Actualmente estan en el 5to. Ciclo y desean poder llegar al máximo nivel del programa.
Ilda es vendedora de ropas desde hace un buen tiempo, con lo que ha logrado formarse una buena clientela. Ella comenta que siempre tiene muchos pedidos de sus clientes, pues tiene prendas de buena calidad, y no muy caras. Este trabajo la ha ayudado a poder realizarse como comerciante y también ayudar a su familia a salir adelante.
Ella acude a la fundación y a kiva para solicitar un crédito, ya que tiene pedidos y quiere poder cumplir cumplir con sus clientes. Quiere comprar remeras, pantalones, camisas y demás.

The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
