A loan of $2,150 helped a member to purchase lingerie to sell.

San Roque Group's story

13 women from the city of Caacupé learned about a program for motivated women from the Fundación Paraguaya (the Paraguayan Foundation) and with great desire to get ahead they decided to join the group. They are heads of families who take on the task of bringing daily income to their homes. Currently they are in their second cycle of loans and they hope to reach the highest level, always working within a framework of respect and mutual assistance. Cecilia sells intimate apparel or lingerie, both for men as well as women. She is a very hard working woman and comments that thanks to the high quality of her garments she has been able to build a good client base that always buys clothing from her. This work helps her to take care of the daily expenses that come up. She is requesting a loan in order to purchase lingerie. With those purchases she will be able to stock her store and meet requests from clients as well as give her clients a bit more variety.
