Victoria's story

Victoria was born in the district of Kosñipata, in the province of Paucartambo which is a part of the department of Cusco. She is 44 years old and is in a common law marriage, from which she has six children. Victoria lives in the city of Huancarani, in the province of Paucartambo and it is also where she has her business. She makes a living selling gas and small electrical appliances like radios, televisions and irons as well as other things. She has had this business for a few years and she is doing very well thanks to the determination with which she works.

Victoria is requesting a loan to be able to buy more small appliances. She is a member of 'Mamacha Rosario' communal bank, of the association 'Arariwa'. She is thankful for the opportunity provided in this form and she agrees to comply with the payments as set up in the schedule.

The members of the communal bank meet once a month in the district of Huancarani, which is in the province of Paucartambo and the department of Cusco, Cusco is well known for being a tourist area, a commercial district, for it's traditional celebration of 'Inti Raymi' (Festival of the Sun: a religious ceremony of the Inca Empire in honoring the god Inti, one of the most venerated gods in the Inca religion.) and because it contains one of the seven wonders of the world, Machu Picchu.
