A loan of $1,500 helped to buy more pigs.

Gloria's story

Gloria is 50 years old and the single mother of one child. They live in their own house located in the district of Pichari. Gloria is hard working and persistent with her objectives, and she has been working to raise pigs for the past 15 years ago. She has a small restaurant where she sells fried pork, and she also sells pork to the market.

She is very well known with her business because she is one of the oldest saleswomen in the place. She usually works with the support of her son but on occasion has a person who is in charge of caring for the pigs. It is necessary to dedicate a lot to this business, and as such it is necessary to always be tending to the the animals, especially with their feeding and cleaning in order to obtain increased pork production.

She is happy with the business that she has despite the fact that it is a bit tough to be transporting her food, but all of this is rewarded with the strong income that she receives from her sales. This is her third loan with Microfinanzas Prisma, and as a result she once again promises to punctually pay all of her quotas.

With the 4,000 Soles she will buy more pigs in order to fatten them up and later benefit from their meat.
