Juan's story

Juan was born in the Caicay district in the Paucartambo province in the department of Cusco and he is 44 years old. He is a carpenter and has a small workshop in his home where he makes all types of furniture, such as wardrobes, beds, chairs, tables, and other things. He also works selling firewood from his home. At this opportunity, Juan requires the loan to purchase more materials for his work, such as, wood, carpenter's glue and nails, for example.

The members of the communal bank "Mamacha Rosario" meet every thirty days in the Huancarani district in the Paucartambo province in the department of Cusco, Perú. Cusco is known for being a zone with a lot of tourism and commerce and for its traditional fiesta of Inti Raymi and because one of the seven wonders of the world “Machupicchu” is found there.
