A loan of $450 helped to buy two bags of pea seeds.

Manuel's story

Manuel is 56 years old. He is married to Dionicia with whom he has 7 children, but he only lives with the youngest of them. He, Dionicia and their youngest child live in their own house in the village of Cumutay, district of Huasahuasi. Ever since he was a child he has been working in agriculture. He learned helping his parents, and as a young man his obligations became greater as his community practices solidarity work. Currently he plants potatoes and peas on his own land. The majority of his children already have families and live independently, but even so he receives their support with the most tiring jobs which are the harvests. Manuel has been doing this work for more than 30 years and he assures that the results he has obtained are gratifying when he markets his products. In this way he educated his children and they in return have offered their unconditional help, saving him from having to pay hired workers. As he is an entrepreneurial man, he has planned to grow his crop output and buy some cattle, as he would like to also work in the purchase and sale of animals.

He belongs to the communal bank "Lindo amanecer de Cumutay" and this will be his 10th loan with Microfinanzas Prisma. He is very grateful for all of the people that made this loan possible and which have allowed him to continue working in search of progress. As a result, he promises to pay his quotas punctually. Manuel, upon receiving your support, will invest the money asked for in the purchase of 2 bags of pea seeds, which cost 600 Soles each.
