A loan of $3,200 helped a member to buy needed supplies for her bakery..

Barrio Felsina Group's story

Barrio Felsina was formed by the union of several neighbors and friends in the city of Villa Elisa. They are very enterprising woman who joined the women’s program of Fundación Paraguaya in order to work together and thereby help their families through their work. Their goal is to become good small business women and in this way move forward.

Herminia is a baker and tells us that she started with a small business but that, thanks to her sales and quality products, in addition to her effort and hard work, she has been able to move ahead and continue growing. She says that her goods are highly appreciated by her customers so that she would like to be able to continue working. She is requesting the loan to buy flour, butter, salt, sugar and other ingredients needed to be able to continue with her bakery.

The members are very pleased with the opportunity that they are receiving from Fundación Paraguaya and Kiva.
