Santa Rosalia Group's story

Santa Rosalia is the group formed by 10 women from the city of Caacupé. They are heads of household that struggle each and every day to give their families a better future. They are people that are not afraid of work, which is the reason they meet any challenge head on. Currently, the group is in its first cycle and learning to work together within an environment of mutual respect.

Ana dedicates herself to selling chipas, a traditional Paraguayan food. She comments that her sales are going well, given that chipas are popular items any time of the year. Thanks to the high quality of her products, she always sells out and has been able to form a well-defined client base.

She turns to Fundación Paraguaya and Kiva to request a loan, which she wants to invest into the purchase of starch, cheese, anise, lard, and other necessary supplies for making the chipas that she sells.
