A loan of $750 helped to hire laborers.

Saludia's story

Saludia is 39 years old and is married to Eulogio, who is 42. They have four children and live in their own home in the community of Torrerumi, in the district of Sivia.

Saludia is a hard-working woman who works in farming. She grows cacao and coffee on a parcel of land located within her community and she and her dear husband always tend to the crops together. She says that she needs laborers to cultivate and harvest the coffee. If the coffee is not harvested in time, the beans begin to fall off and this causes a loss of income. So, she is looking for workers in advance in order to prevent any setbacks.

She is happy and content with her work because it generates good income. Since her home is almost centrally located, she is thinking about opening a grocery store there in the future. This is her second loan with MFP and once again, she is committed to making her payments on time. She is happy with her communal bank because the members are punctual and she shares a feeling of solidarity with them. With the 2,000 Nuevos Soles, she will hire laborers to weed her farmland.
